Terms of Service

1. Who we are

MerlinTix is operated by MerlinTix Inc. ("MerlinTix," "we," "our"). By creating an account, listing events, or purchasing tickets through merlintix.com, you agree to these Terms.

2. The service

MerlinTix is software that lets event organizers sell tickets and attendees buy them. Payments are processed by Stripe. MerlinTix is not the merchant of record on any individual ticket sale — organizers are. We provide the platform; the contract for any given event is between the attendee and the organizer.

3. Pricing

MerlinTix charges a 2% + $0.50 service fee per ticket sold on every paid order. Stripe's payment-processing fees (typically 2.9% + 30¢) apply on every transaction and go directly to Stripe. There are no subscription tiers — every feature is included for every organizer. Service fees are non-refundable on cancelled orders. We may introduce optional paid add-ons in the future; founding-organizer accounts will be grandfathered in to retain free access to current features.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use MerlinTix to sell tickets for illegal events, to defraud attendees, to scrape competitor data, or to harass anyone. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms, violate Stripe's acceptable-use policy, or generate excessive chargebacks.

5. Refunds

Refund policies are set by individual organizers and shown on each event page. MerlinTix doesn't guarantee refunds; we facilitate them when an organizer issues one. Disputes should first go to the organizer; chargebacks initiated against MerlinTix are charged back to the organizer.

6. Liability

The service is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, MerlinTix is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any direct claim is capped at fees paid to MerlinTix in the prior 12 months.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email or in-product banner at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
